YOU CAN’T SIT WITH US: In the Eyes of a Bystander (YCSWU: The Bystander) is a commentary on the perceived view of outwardly cool kids in the eyes of a bystander. This series will explore how each individual interacts within a group setting, the dynamics of the group, and how they are perceived within that group. Furthermore, the book will look into the lives of each character as separate individuals uncovering how they appear as individuals away from the group. This allows for each individual to be as freely expressive as they can be when they are alone. The bystander’s purpose is to be the “camera view” or the observer of each individual’s persona in each setting as a group and an individual. The importance of “YCSWU: The Bystander” is to understand how we as individuals have an alternate personality we choose to present in diverse situations. It is to show that humans are not linear beings that react and act the same way. How we react differently in separate situations depends on where we are in society and who we are with friends or by ourselves. Reactions can drastically shift depending on the circumstances.
