As a student of 3D foundations, I was presented with the opportunity to create a sculpture using found objects. Drawing on my creativity and resourcefulness, I challenged myself to produce a work of art that spoke to my own personal themes and interests. This sculpture seeks to convey the idea of change and transition. I utilized a picture frame as a powerful symbol of division between two separate worlds. The found objects that I incorporated into the sculpture - including metal pieces, plastic objects, and other discarded materials - serve as tangible representations of the shifting and ephemeral nature of life.
As I constructed the sculpture, I was inspired by the way that found objects can take on new meaning and significance when they are repurposed and recontextualized. In this way, my artwork is not just a physical representation of my ideas, but also a commentary on the transformative power of art itself. Through my sculpture, I hope to provoke thoughtful reflection and introspection in the viewer. By highlighting the beauty and potential of found objects, I encourage the viewer to consider their own role in shaping the world around them and to recognize the potential for change and growth in all aspects of life.
